Database/Data service problem (RpcSandraSrv)

You are getting RpcSandraSrv service crashes, Sandra complains of database errors, etc.

  • If you are using Sandra Lite, please update to the latest version of Sandra. See Download Sites for Sandra Lite. Otherwise, go back to Sandra XI.SP1 (11.22) or earlier, for example from FileHippo who has an archive of Sandra versions.

  • If you are using a commercial version of Sandra (Professional, Engineer, Enterprise), please visit the distributor's site to download the latest version. See Jagged Online Download Site. Otherwise, go back to Sandra XI.SP3 or earlier, available from the distributor as well.

  • We have not found an easy solution to this problem. It seems the MDAC/WinDAC (database components) registration under SYSTEM (the system account) is damaged which causes the database server to crash. As with most major Windows problems, a Windows reinstall is the only sure way to fix this issue.
